7 Day Detox Meltdown!!
First step to losing weight and getting in shape is to have the mind set that you actually want to keep the weight off. Once you make a promise to yourself to keep the weight off then the first step before you even set foot in the gym or come up with an exercise plan is to DETOX. You can't expect a car to run if it has sugar & water in it. You have to clean it out (detox) so when you start taking it on the road (exercise), you'll be starting with premium gas (clean fuel tank and vitamin enriched foods). This will help you heal faster when you exercise. This will help you lose more weight besides just water weight. This will keep the weight off and help curb the sugar cravings that are currently in your system. The first 2 days are the hardest (not going to lie). It is pure torture. You can smell the apple pie your neighbor is baking two houses down. You can smell pizza from Pizza hut two miles up the block. Your senses are heightened. Your mind is more alert and your body is on terrorist alert because it has no idea what is going on, what's all this new healthy food, why you increasing your metabolism and why in the word would you give up that slice of cake, glass of wine or scotch and why didn't you have an egg sandwich on a buttered toasted roll for breakfast! Your body will betray you which is why dieting and losing weight is literally all in your head. You have to convince yourself, talk to yourself constantly, pep talks, have a sponsor to remind you why you doing this. AA (alcoholic rehab) groups have sponsors. You should too!! If you could do it alone, you wouldn't need to be on a diet in the first place. Find a sponsor who is not judgemental. You just need a sounding board. Once your mind is in the game, your body doesn't have a choice. It will give in!!
Do a happy dance when you lose 8 pounds. Anything before that is pure water and can come back at any point. Once you reach 10 pounds.. celebrate and have a cookie! Not a piece of cake, not a box full of cookies. Your celebration dessert should fit in the palm of your hand (your fingers don't count)!. By time you reach that point, your metabolism is burning and you'll burn that celebratory dessert off in no time. Biggest thing to remember... keep moving!!
Detox Meltdown Plans
Whether you're trying to lose weight or detox to get your body back on track. Here are a couple of good ones that's been tried.
SAMPLE 7 DAY DETOX
Day 1 - Tuesday, December 13th
Fruit: Eat all of the fruit you want (except bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water.
NO BANANAS
Prepare-
5 fruit salad containers, 2 soup cans, cranberry juice
Schedule
9am Fruit Salad + cranberry juice
11am Fruit Salad + cranberry juice
1pm Soup & Water
3pm Fruit Salad & Water
5pm Fruit Salad & Water
7pm Soup & Water
830pm Fruit & Water
Day Two: Wednesday, December 14th
Vegetables: Eat until you are stuffed will all fresh, raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. Try to eat leafy green vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner, reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter. Do not eat fruit today.
NO FRUIT TODAY

9am Veg stir fry container #1 (cabbage, carrots,onions, sweet potatoe)
11am Veg stir fry container #2 (bell peppers, celery, spinach w/garlic & onions)
1pm Salad with tomatoes & Water
3pm Veg stir fry container #3 (broccoli, carrots, garlic, lemon juice & onions) & Water
5pm Veg stir fry container #4 (bell peppers, celery, spinach w/garlic & onions)
7pm Veg stir fry container #5 (cabbage, onions, sweet potatoe)
Prepare-
5 containers & Salad : Lemon juice, cabbage, sweet potato, bell peppers, celery sticks, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, onions, salad
Day Three: Thursday, December 15th
Mix Days One and Two: Eat all the soup, fruits and vegetables you want. No Baked Potato.

11am Veg stir fry container #1 (bell peppers, celery, spinach w/garlic & onions)
1pm Soup & Salad with tomatoes & Water
3pm Fruit Salad #2 + cranberry juice
5pm Veg stir fry container #2 (cabbage, onions, sweet potatoe)
7pm Fruit Salad #3 + cranberry juice
Prepare-
3 Fruit salad containers, 1 salad container, 1 soup container, 2 stirfry veggie container : cabbage, bell peppers, celery sticks, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, onions, salad
Day Four: Friday, December 16th
Bananas and Skim Milk: Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you would like on this day, along with your soup. This day is supposed to lessen your desire for sweets.

9am Skim milk & bananas & water
11am soup & water
1pm Skim milk & bananas & water
3pm soup #2 & water
5pm Skim milk & bananas & water
7pm soup #3 & water
Prepare-
Gallon skim milk (some at work), bananas (supermarket), 3 cans of soup
Day Five: Saturday, December 17th
Beef And Tomatoes: Ten to twenty ounces of beef and up to six fresh tomatoes. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water this day to wash the uric acid from your body. Eat your soup at least once this day. You may eat broiled or baked chicken instead of beef (but absolutely no skin-on chicken). If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for beef on one of the beef days (but not both).

9am Steak, eggs & tomatoes & ½ gallon of water
11am Beef soup & 1 liter of water
1pm Steak & tomatoes (stir fry) w/garlic & onion &1 liter of water
3pm soup #2 & 1 liter of water
5pm 3 mini all beef hamburgers w/diced tomatoes inside
7pm Steak & tomatoes (stir fry) w/garlic & onion &1 liter of water
Prepare-
6 whole tomatoes, 1 gallon Water, 2 cans soup,small beef hamburger meat, steak for three meals (10 oz)
Day Six: Sunday, December 18th
Beef and Vegetables: Eat to your heart’s content of beef and vegetables this day. You can even have 2 or 3 steaks if you like, with leafy green vegetables. No Baked Potato. Eat your soup at least once.

10am Steak, eggs & spinach & ½ gallon of water
11am Chicken soup & 1 liter of water
1pm Steak & Spinach salad &1 liter of water
3pm soup #2 & spinach salad & 1 liter of water
5pm Steak & Spinach (stir fry) w/garlic & onion &1 liter of water
7pm soup #3 & spinach salad & 1 liter of water
Prepare-
1 gallon Water, 3 cans soup, spinach frozen (2), spinach salad (1 bag), steak for two meals
Day Seven: Monday, December 19th
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables: Again stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat your soup at least once this day.

9am Brown rice w/veggie stir fry
11am soup & 1 liter of water
1pm stir fry over Spinach salad
3pm soup #2 & spinach salad
5pm Brown rice w/veggie stir fry
7pm soup #3 & spinach salad
Prepare-
3 cans soup (no meat), spinach frozen (2), spinach salad, rice w/veggie stir fry (onions, bell peppers, broccoli, etc)
